FX will premiere the cancelled ABC drama The Evidence next month with the acclaimed Showtime series Brotherhood in October, although may also be cancelled by the time it gets here......

Sopranos return

The sixth season of the Sopranos is imminent. E4 look set to premiere the show on Thursday August 31st with a repeat on Sunday September 3rd.

Monday morning news

David Chase talks to Mark Lawson for an hour on BBC4 next Sunday at 9.15pm, with the Sopranos returning to E4 next month........Bravo are set to show Arrested Development from the very beginning, but no news on season three from the BBC.........E4 will screen the axed Fox series Reunion from Sunday August 27th. It will air at 4pm in the afternoon, and we will get to see all 13 episodes produced, including the 4 that Fox never aired......Eddie Cibrian, ex of Thirdwatch and last year's Invasion, will return in Vanished. The serial kidnapping drama has been picked up by Channel Five..........which is where you will see Clare Forlani when she joins CSI New York in a recurring role........Trouble for the Calista Flockhart vehicle Brothers and Sisters which also stars Rachel Griffiths and Ron Rifkin. Having shuffled some cast out and others in including Sally Field, show runner Marti Noxon has now left. Noxon, ex of Buffy and Point Pleasant, leaves the series about six weeks before its due to air - and theres still been no pilot produced for critics, Channel 4 will be hoping they can sort it all out...........

Sleeper Cell

Channel 4 are set to screen the acclaimed Showtime series Sleeper Cell.

The terrorism series will get its first terrestrial showing from 10pm on Wednesday August 23rd, although current events might delay it.

Showtime have commissioned a second run for 2007. The Channel 4 outing is unusual in that the network has taken to only screening shows which they have both digital and terrestrial rights too, Will and Grace being the only other notable exception.

Landis, Laurie and Lost

Tour De France winner Floyd Landis will appear on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno in the United States this evening. It will air here on Friday on CNBC at 10pm. Landis has been the subject of Leno's jokes the last couple of weeks having cancelled twice. Landis stands to be stripped of his Tour De France title after failing a drugs test since the event........ How can House escape their weekly formula? Hire another great actor top play off Hugh Laurie. The show has recruited former Hack and St Elsewhere star David Morse for a multi-episode story. He plays a cop, and thats all we know........Former Ally McBeal and Lyons Den star Elizabeth Mitchell will join the third season of Lost......
