Moonlight and Shark dead, Trace returns

CBS have cancelled Moonlight after all now, but there is speculation that it might re-emerge on the CW as part of their new advertisre-owned Sunday night schedule.

Perhaps more surprisingly CBS have axed the James Woods show Shark, which is bad news for Channel 5 who have done decent business with the legal drama

in other news the sixth season of Without a Trace will premiere on More4 on Thursday June 6th

Upfront upsum

The US networks are announcing their fall plans this week, here some of the key news with regard to shows currently screening or due to screen in the UK or involving UK talent.....Eli Stone starring Jonny Lee Miller has been renewed by ABC, due to air on the BBC at some point, The Unit will return to CBS and Virgin 1, despite speculation it might not, How I Met Your Mother also comes back. If you have not seen it on BBC2 or Trouble it is now airing on Living also....and that network might lose CBS Moonlight which has not been renewed but hasn't been cancelled either....The Kelsey Grammar sitcom Back To You has been killed by FOX before it starts on More4 in July....But E4 will get Reaper back, renewed by the CW...Life On Mars has been picked up by ABC but David E Kelley won't be involved and the show will be re-cast...again. Kelley will concentrate on the returning Boston Legal....That shows' Saffron Burrows joins Christian Slater in his new spy series on NBC....while another Brit Rufus Sewell toplines Jerry Bruckheimer's Elemental. Its a remake of the Patrick Stewart vehicle The 11th Hour which flopped in the UK.....
