Are ITV trying to kill Entourage?

After dispatching David Letterman, it seems ITV are doing their best to destroy another prime property. Entourage started last year on ITV2 at 10pm with a campaign run on the main network and in cinemas. When this garnered them some success they decided to run the second series straight away. And show it on ITV at the same time. Never mind that viewers to ITV had never seen season one, never mind it making any sense or anything.
So then we had the Christmas break, and no new episodes for several weeks. Presumably its far more important to show endless old Stallone movies. So now it's back. At midnight. On a Sunday. On ITV2. If you were watching on ITV, forget it. You have been left high and dry halfway through the series. Maybe you'll get some season three episodes in eighteen months time.
Why does ITV always do this? Why buy a prime property like this and then treat it so badly. Presumably it's ITV4 next and then it will get dropped. Thanks very much ITV.

Lots more from hit shows

NBC have renewed four shows for next season, comedies The Office and My Name Is Earl, and dramas Heroes and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit......No word on the fate of Chris Meloni and Mariska Hargitay on SVU who were reported to be holding out for more cash, although it has been announced that Adam Beach will join as a series regular.....Kyra Sedgwick has been signed to the Closer for a mighty seven seasons, which seems an awful lot for a cable series only two years on the air.....Lost will start producing webisodes and phonisodes in July. Variety reports that they will feature the Lost cast and be 'intimate and self-contained'.

Battlestar grounded? Goodbye Lost?

Two of the best shows on television may be set to come to an earlier than expected finish.

Michael Ausiello on the TV Guide podcast reckons Battlestar Galactica might not be back next year. The speculation comes following strong rumours that one of the major characters dies in episode 16 of the current season. The ratings for the show have not been that strong, and the creators may choose to end the series after just three seasons while it is on a creative high. The new season has just started on Tuesdays on SKY One

Anybody who feared Lost was going to drag on forever and provide no answers - was wrong. The creators have confirmed that are currently talking to ABC about the end. While a fourth season seems certain, the saga may well end with a shortened fifth run. This will get the show to the magic 100 episodes and also provide answers and solutions to the series for the millions of fans. Lost returns in the UK next month
